About the Project: We are developing an AI-driven STEM Portal that connects students with organizations for real-world opportunities. This platform leverages cutting-edge technology to match users based on skills, interests, and project needs, fostering meaningful collaboration and innovation.

Role Overview: We are seeking a motivated and talented Front-End Developer Intern to join our dynamic team. As a front-end developer, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing user-friendly interfaces that create an engaging experience for students, educators, and organizations. You will collaborate with our back-end developers, designers, and stakeholders to bring our STEM Portal to life.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain responsive and user-friendly web pages using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement visually appealing and functional interfaces.

  • Work with APIs to integrate front-end features with back-end functionality.

  • Test, debug, and optimize web pages for performance across various devices and browsers.

  • Participate in team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and innovative ideas.

  • Contribute to documentation of front-end code and processes.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proficiency in front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

  • Familiarity with modern frameworks/libraries such as React.js, Vue.js, or Angular.

  • Understanding of responsive web design and cross-browser compatibility.

  • Basic knowledge of Git/version control systems.

  • A strong portfolio or examples of previous front-end development work (academic or personal projects).

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with RESTful APIs and front-end integration.

  • Knowledge of UI/UX principles and wireframing tools.

  • Familiarity with tools like Webpack, npm, or Yarn.

  • Awareness of accessibility standards (WCAG).

  • Passion for STEM education and technology.
