About the Project: We are developing an AI-driven STEM Portal that connects students with organizations for real-world opportunities. This platform leverages cutting-edge technology to match users based on skills, interests, and project needs, fostering meaningful collaboration and innovation.
Role Overview: We are seeking a motivated and talented Front-End Developer Intern to join our dynamic team. As a front-end developer, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing user-friendly interfaces that create an engaging experience for students, educators, and organizations. You will collaborate with our back-end developers, designers, and stakeholders to bring our STEM Portal to life.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain responsive and user-friendly web pages using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement visually appealing and functional interfaces.
Work with APIs to integrate front-end features with back-end functionality.
Test, debug, and optimize web pages for performance across various devices and browsers.
Participate in team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and innovative ideas.
Contribute to documentation of front-end code and processes.
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Proficiency in front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Familiarity with modern frameworks/libraries such as React.js, Vue.js, or Angular.
Understanding of responsive web design and cross-browser compatibility.
Basic knowledge of Git/version control systems.
A strong portfolio or examples of previous front-end development work (academic or personal projects).
Preferred Skills:
Experience with RESTful APIs and front-end integration.
Knowledge of UI/UX principles and wireframing tools.
Familiarity with tools like Webpack, npm, or Yarn.
Awareness of accessibility standards (WCAG).
Passion for STEM education and technology.
